Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our breastfeeding team within neonatal services. In this role, you will provide support to parents of babies receiving care in the neonatal unit, helping them establish and maintain lactation, express breast milk, and overcome any breastfeeding challenges. You must work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support and educate staff, promote breastfeeding, and implement best practice. You will support the lead sister to implement standards and policies, liaising closely within all areas of the neonatal services. The neonatal unit is currently working towards accreditation through the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative. This role will support the implementation of Baby Friendly standards, promoting evidence based infant feeding practices and ensuring all families receive high quality, family integrated care throughout their neonatal journey.
