Full Job Description

This is a role working within the Grounds Maintenance Team. We are responsible for the maintenance of the parks and the green spaces within the City. The primary tasks of the team are mowing using both ride on and walk behind mowers, shrub, hedge and minor tree maintenance using power and hand tools and removing litter.     2 References - where possible we require 3 years' employment history. Driving Licence - The successful candidate must always hold a full valid driving licence as you will be required to drive a vehicle adhering to council regulations. Qualification requirement - New entries to this role would need to hold the following higher level qualifications or be willing to work towards achieving them
  • PA1, PA6 Use of tractor with mower and side arm flail NVQ Amenity Horticulture Use of chainsaw and chipper, Previous experience of Grounds Maintenance or a similar Operational role is required, Specific experience and/or qualifications in the use of power tools, the ability to drive with a trailer and horticultural knowledge would be beneficial but not essential. More importantly we require an individual who is committed, hard working, flexible, willing to learn and a good team player. Full driving licence is an essential requirement.
