We have a great opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officer to join our Localities team providing a comprehensive housing management service, working with communities and neighbourhoods around North Northamptonshire and Harborough. This will include locations such as Market Harborough, Rushden, Kettering, Billesden and Burton Latimer.
You will be someone who takes a hands-on approach, helping customers to manage their tenancies and improve our neighbourhoods for everyone. Most of the time you will be out and about in your patch, working closely with customers to promote sustainable tenancies and developing strong relationships with local communities.
What could you be doing as one of our Neighbourhood Officers?
The Neighbourhood Officer will be responsible for visiting customers, providing advice, reviewing tenancies and identifying any problems. You will be regularly inspecting our estates, raising, reporting and monitoring to a successful conclusion any health and safety or safeguarding concerns.
You will also be responsible for playing a key role in developing strong relationships within local communities, working collaboratively with other agencies and Platform colleagues.
Other key responsibilities include managing and investigating tenancy issues such as anti-social behaviour, condition of property, fly tipping or safeguarding concerns. You will also undertake new tenancy sign-ups and accompanied viewings for new homes.
You will have experience of working in the social housing sector, particularly with a background of dealing with tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding.
-This will be a role well suited to someone with experience of working closely with customers to tackle complex issues.
-You will be proactive in your approach, organised and have the ability prioritise your time to meet timeframes.
