If you love working outside with nature both on your own and as part of a friendly team then this could be the role for you. You would be managing a portfolio of nature reserves in Gwent that are freely open for visitors to enjoy.
  • You will oversee practical action for wildlife, and activities for volunteers as well as work with contractors, graziers, neighbours and partners to ensure nature is in recovery and habitats are in good condition. Working in a small Nature Recovery Team, reporting to the Nature Recovery Manager, you will play a key part in looking after the 'Jewels in the Crown' of Gwent Wildlife Trust's landholdings. We are looking for a passionate, hard worker with knowledge and practical skills in habitat management for wildlife. You will need good inter-personal skills to deal with a range of people from the public, to neighbours, volunteers and statutory bodies. Familiar with working safely, and prepared to work outside in all weathers, this is a challenging but very rewarding opportunity.
