Due to internal promotion, MGF is recruiting a National Key Account Manager to grow and manage our national key accounts. This role is for a proven professional with strong construction, commercial and B2B sales, business development or key account experience. They will understand customer needs and be able to build and maintain strong relationships. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will work with sales, engineering, other account managers and marketing team to deliver a strategic approach to maximising account activity and optimising revenue streams. This role is for an organised communicator who can improve and maintain customer satisfaction, grow target accounts and is capable of communicating and engaging with the wider internal MGF team to achieve these objectives.
Responsibilities
- Day to Day Lead assigned MGF account relationships.
- Manage existing and target accounts.
- Develop new customer opportunities.
- Use CRM and delegate effectively.
- Secure long-term agreements.
- Assess & prioritise opportunities.
- Develop negotiation strategies.
- Track market trends.
- Collaborate on major schemes & promote early engagement.
- Support quarterly account meetings.
- Collaborate with the wider MGF's business functions.
- Administer & Support bids, PQQs and tenders.
- Promote and highlight MGF R&D activities.
Team & Performance Management
- Collaborate across the business to achieve targets and KPIs.
- Share customer feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Share opportunities through CRM and direct communication.
- Work with sales managers on collaborative work-winning activities.
- Guide less experienced colleagues.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements (Essential)
- B2B sales experience.
- Civils or construction experience.
- Confident with customers at all levels.
- Able to support customer-facing teams.
- Framework and SLA experience.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, safety and regulations.
- Organised and confident using IT systems and CRM.
- Able to produce and sign frameworks, bids and PQQs.
- Excellent time management and planning.
