Full Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a highly motivated, dynamic, and integrated team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity of working in a dynamic and innovative integrated Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding team within the Directorate of Nursing, Quality and Professional practice. You will have a key role in developing and embedding safeguarding leadership and excellent professional practice across all our services to ensure we comply with statutory requirements and colleagues across the organisation are supported and confident in their safeguarding responsibilities. You will use expert knowledge and professional advice in relation to children and adults at risk in order to progress the safeguarding agenda internally within the organisation, and alongside our multi agency partnerships. The successful candidate will need to have strong inspiring leadership and organisational skills, extensive experience of working within the safeguarding arena, advanced communication and negotiation skills in order to work closely with clinical colleagues, and external statutory partners. You will need to hold a current nursing registration, e.g. NMC and have experience of working with children and adults within the safeguarding arena. In addition, a thorough level of understanding around the policies, standards and the legislative framework that supports everyday practice including the Childrens Acts 1989, 2004, Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 is essential.
