Full Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Full Stack Software Engineer to join either a software delivery team which is already supporting, or about to start supporting projects initially within the Defence sector, but with opportunities to work in other sectors in the future. What You'll Do:

  • Support the development of application functionality and features.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Implement and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools., Our Head Office is based in Salford Quays, Manchester, with satellite offices in London and Cheltenham. We offer hybrid working where you can work from home for part of your working week with time on site being based on the needs of your assigned delivery and agreed Ways of Working for your team. We would expect that the successful candidate would be working an average of 3 days a week in the office or customer site.

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven professional experience as a Software Engineer or similar role (2+ years.)
  • Previous demonstrable experience in delivery through Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript.
  • Experience of full stack development.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Awareness of software development best practices, including testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • It would be advantageous if you also had :
  • Prior experience working in the Defence domain.
  • Awareness of Secure by Design (SbD) principles (ie/ JSP 440/604).
  • Familiarity with AWS.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Experience with React.
  • Experience with Express.
  • Experience with the Elastic stack.
  • Experience with graph databases.
  • Experience of e2e testing using Cypress or Playwright.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

    Naimuri pays competitively within the industry based on your role's base location rates. The salary for this position is dependent upon your experience. We assess seniority relative to the team at Naimuri during the interviewing process. A full time working week is 37.5 hours and you have flexibility over when you give that time. Benefits include:
