Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multidisciplinary Technician to join our Therapy Team in the School. This role will require the successful candidate to provide high quality evidence-based, MDT technician support, in order to promote the participation and functional activity of children and young people. You will provide support to the therapy teams providing services to children, young people and their families accessing The Childrens Trust School and residential services. This will include the delivery of child and family focused, goal-led assessments and interventions, in collaboration with multidisciplinary health, therapy and education teams. Our service delivery aims to promote outcome focussed interventions, safe care, function and participation of children and young people accessing home, school, and community life. As such, you will also support the provision of specialist equipment, hydrotherapy and leisure swims, therapy resources, assistive technology for the classroom and House, and provide integrated in class working., Role Requirements

  • Provide high quality, evidence-based interventions for children and young people attending The Childrens Trust School in partnership with other members of the multidisciplinary team and education services, under the guidance of qualified therapists.
  • Deliver suitable, individualised, 24hr therapy programmes/strategies, which fit within the childs daily routine, whether to be carried out by parents or members of the multidisciplinary team; work in collaboration with parents, carers, and therapists to support therapy goal setting, which will facilitate participation of the child in their life skills.
  • Support the therapists, multidisciplinary and education teams with measuring short term targets, through using the IMpacts curriculum and therapy outcome measurement tools e.g., Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS).
  • Keep appropriate and accurate intervention records, fulfilling legal, professional and all other requirements of The Childrens Trust.
  • Support the delivery of a tiered model approach to therapy at The Childrens Trust School, providing regular integrated time to classes and Houses.
  • Work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team, the child, and their family, to provide a fully integrated approach to the overall management of the child. This will include any home/ school visits, professional child related meetings and appointments, as required.
