Purpose Of The Role / Role Overview


Follow on from heating installations and complete a range of tasks that include boxing in pipework, tiling, ceiling repairs, making good & painting. To work closely with the Area Manager and admins to provide a variety of assistance to the install engineers. To assist with vertical flues. Your assistance will enable the Installation department to complete planned work and achieve the required operational and customer service performance targets, Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental systems, company procedures, and meet legislation requirements.


General Duties / Key Responsibilities



  • Assist with the installation of new boilers where required.

  • Help complete vertical flues, adding bracing into the loft and weathering the lead slate into the roof.

  • Build timber boxing under boilers where required.

  • Assist with the ASHP installations, building concrete bases, lifting floorboards, and constructing new cupboards.

  • Attend all calls allocated to you; if delayed, report to call handlers so the resident can be made aware of delays.

  • Record accurate logs of work undertaken and materials used, capturing this on the company's PDA / IT system.

  • Where further works are required, liaise with the Area Manager/admin teams and inform residents of the timescale for completion.

  • Be prepared to work flexibly, including outside normal working hours depending on business needs.

  • Carry out tasks professionally, prioritizing customer service.

  • Keep your allocated company vehicle clean and tidy, ensuring waste is disposed of according to company/HSE regulations.

  • Manage your workload responsibly, completing and documenting the works you have carried out.

  • Possess or work towards a City & Guilds multi-trade/building qualification or demonstrate relevant experience.

Day-to-day self-management of your workload, being responsible for the works you have carried out. To complete this role you must have or be working towards a City & Guild multi trade/building qualification or be able to demonstrate the relevant experience.
