Multi-Trade Operative

Tenant Services owns and manages more than 5,000 homes, providing quality housing and support to local communities. Our Property Care Team delivers responsive repairs and maintenance services, helping residents live in safe, compliant and well-maintained homes. We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Multi-Trade Operative who takes pride in their work, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys working as part of a dedicated team that makes a real difference to people's lives every day. About the Role As a Multi-Trade Operative, you will carry out a wide range of maintenance and repair work across our housing stock. Your responsibilities will include damp and mould treatments, wall and floor tiling, glazing, minor joinery work such as gates, fences and notice boards, painting, and grounds maintenance. You will assess reported defects, identify the most appropriate solution, and complete repairs efficiently to meet agreed work schedules. Where further remedial action is required, you will ensure the necessary authorisation is obtained to enable works to progress effectively. This role also offers the opportunity to participate in our out-of-hours service and undertake occasional overtime., A local government reorganisation is planned for Gloucestershire, which may result in changes to structures and services. You will have proven experience in a similar role within the construction, repairs, or maintenance sector and be committed to delivering a high-quality service. You will be able to demonstrate experience in:

• Diagnosing and assessing the extent of repair and maintenance issues.
• Carrying out remedial repairs to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Managing a varied workload and adapting to changing priorities.
• Maintaining vehicle stock levels through accurate material management and replenishment.
• Working with a strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Communicating effectively with customers, colleagues and contractors.
