Full Job Description
- Attending occupied or void properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties
- Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition, maintaining a suitable van stock level, and restocking these when needed in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications, We work closely with the Home Office in order to prevent unlawful working. A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary in the event of a successful application which we will pay for. Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, an exempt charity.
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
- Skills in some of the following disciplines - Plumbing, Plastering, Carpentry and Joinery, kitchen and bathroom installations, UPVC door and window fitting
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
- Working experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

- £35,579 per annum (rising to £37,452 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
