Job Overview This is a static site-based Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer role based in Uxbridge. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced tradesperson with a demonstrable track record and a minimum of five years' experience within a corporate facilities management environment to join our established site-based team. Our Multi-Skilled Technicians deliver a comprehensive range of facilities support services at our client's European Headquarters. The role encompasses responsibility for executing various general, HAVC and fabric maintenance tasks, in addition to business support activities. The successful candidate will report to one of the Contract Supervisors in the delivery of reactive, planned, and ad hoc maintenance tasks. Appropriate training and professional development will be provided as required to ensure competency and proficiency in performing the following duties (as detailed in the responsibilities section). Working hours - Whilst the core working hours are 08:00 to 17:00, a degree of flexibility may be available subject to individual circumstances. Main Duties

  • Weekly and monthly planned maintenance tasks as scheduled (fire alarm tests, flushing of infrequently used outlets/water temperature recording, emergency lighting tests, HVAC, etc.).
  • Monthly utilities meter readings.
  • First-line response to reactive repairs.
  • Replacement of defective luminaires.
  • Minor building fabric repairs.
  • Minor decorating tasks.
  • Minor plumbing repairs.
  • Ad hoc porterage duties (moves and changes, furniture management and relocation, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all assigned work orders.
  • Full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Completion of documentation as required, including risk assessments and method statements, and adherence to all associated permits.
  • Flexibility in working hours to provide cover as required for holidays and sickness absence.
  • Assist all trades within the team and, through appropriate training, demonstrate capability to complete tasks beyond core skill areas.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are informed of work order progress in a timely manner.
  • Proactively conduct floor walks, reporting any maintenance or health and safety issues to the designated coordinator and appropriate manager.
  • Health & Safety:
  • Adhere to Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in service delivery failure, or pose risk to health and safety, or the environment.
  • Use all work equipment and personal protective equipment properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any issues or training requirements to your line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.
  • Accept personal responsibility for health and safety matters.

  • Sound knowledge of building statutory compliance.
  • Ability to record work accurately on worksheets and computer-based systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Experience of working within a customer-focused environment.
  • Commitment to achieving success for oneself, the business, and the client.
  • Flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive).
  • Professional presentation in clean and tidy manner to represent the company, utilising issued uniform and PPE.
  • Responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and others, as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and subsequent UK and EU amendments.
  • HSE management in accordance with our Quality Management System and all legal and statutory requirements.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are informed of work order progress in a timely manner.
