Multi Skilled Operative (Backshift)

Reporting to the Nightshift Supervisor, the Multi Skilled Operative (Backshift) plays a key role in the production of asphalt and aggregates for the construction industry, while maintaining best-in-class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.,

• Operating the onsite asphalt plant to produce a range of asphalt products
• Supporting plant efficiency and optimisation during evening/nightshift operations
• Working with aggregates and operating mobile plant machinery
• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards
• Promoting a strong zero-harm safety culture and behavioural safety
• Ensuring awareness and compliance with Health and Safety controls across site

You'll be joining a high-performing nightshift operation where teamwork, pride in the job and doing things the right way are essential., You'll have experience working within an industrial, factory or production environment and enjoy being part of a multi-skilled operational team. You take pride in a job well done, communicate well, and are keen to develop both technically and professionally. You'll also ideally have:
• Experience within quarrying, asphalt or a similar heavy industry (desirable)
• A flexible, team-focused approach to work
• Self-motivation and the ability to positively influence others
• Knowledge of risk assessments in a plant or operational environment
• Understanding of SSOW (HIRA) and permit systems (preferred, not essential)
• Good basic IT skills
• A Shovel Licence (desirable)
