Full Job Description
- Maintaining equipment and using a computerised maintenance system.
- Responding to equipment breakdowns and completing repairs to equipment.
- Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions on industrial/assembly equipment, machinery and building as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance as per schedules.
- Order replacement parts and stocks.
- Adhere to the company's Health & Safety policy and safe working practices.
- Adhere to Caterpillar's Values in Action: Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork.
- Undertake training/further learning as required.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in diagnosing and resolving issues across both electrical and mechanical systems within industrial environments. - Root Cause Analysis: Strong critical thinking ability to identify underlying problems and implement effective, lasting solutions.
- Self-Motivation & Initiative: Capable of working independently, taking ownership of tasks, and proactively addressing maintenance needs.
- Collaborative Mindset: Works effectively as part of a team, contributing to shared goals and maintaining a positive, cooperative work environment.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: Comfortable with changing priorities and schedules, including availability for out-of-hours work when required.
- Effective Communication: Able to clearly convey technical information and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
- Organizational Skills: Manages workload efficiently, maintains accurate records, and prioritizes tasks to meet operational needs.
- Instructional Comprehension: Reads and follows technical documentation, procedures, and verbal instructions with precision.

- Experience in using PLC based systems would be an advantage. Pending the number of applications, the criteria for the position may be enhanced to facilitate shortlisting.
