Full Job Description
Job Overview
- To undertake the maintenance and repair of the Electrical and Mechanical service, including fabric tasks of buildings as required under contract.
- The identification, authorisation, organisation and implementation of small works as required. Main Duties
- · Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports. · Carry out Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork. · Ensure completion of all PPM & Service desk tasks in adherence with SLA's. · Ensure statutory and non-statutory logs are kept up to date (including emergency lighting and Fan Coil Units). · Control of water testing regimes and upkeep of the water log book. · Ensuring compliance to the Company's and Clients Permit to Work Systems. · Procure materials and equipment to carry out works. · Assist other team members when required or as directed from Contract Manager. · Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales. · Proactively reduce energy consumption on site. · Supervision of visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety. · Adopt a flexible attitude in relation to assisting on other properties within the portfolio. · All duties carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures. · To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time · To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner · To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures · To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required · To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required · Complete any expense claims, overtime, etc in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with company procedures. · Complete purchasing card returns in accordance with company process as applicable. What we are looking for
- Qualified to City & Guilds Level III or equivalent in relevant disciplines to role
- Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment
- Including, boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, Batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable)
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
- Strong customer care focus.
- Good communication skills.
- Proactive
- Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults
- Capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate and timely manner.
