Full Job Description
As a Multi-Skilled Electrician, you'll carry out electrical repairs, maintenance and installations across our housing stock. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll work in both occupied and void properties, supporting tenants by keeping homes safe, compliant, and comfortable. What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance and small installations
- Diagnosing faults and completing work right first time
- Completing inspection & testing (EICR) where qualified
- Ensuring compliance with BS7671 Wiring Regulations
- Working safely and respectfully in tenants' homes
- Supporting void property turnaround for faster re-lets
- Using mobile technology to manage and update jobs in real time
- Completing basic making-good (minor joinery/plumbing) where required
- Participating in the on-call rota (1 in 20 weeks)
We're looking for a qualified Electrician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service. Essential Skills & Experience - NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing or equivalent)
- Strong experience in domestic electrical work
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Experience working in occupied/tenanted properties
- Confident using mobile job management systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to participate in on-call rota Desirable
- Experience in social housing or local authority maintenance
