Moving and Handling Coordinator - Part-Time
- Responsible for promoting safe moving and handling practices within the care home.
- Supporting care staff with the correct use of moving and handling equipment, including hoists, slide sheets and standing aids.
- Ensuring residents are moved safely, comfortably and with dignity.
- Carrying out moving and handling assessments and reviewing residents' individual care needs.
- Providing guidance and support to staff on safe moving and handling techniques.
- Monitoring staff compliance with moving and handling policies and procedures.
- Identifying potential risks and taking appropriate action to prevent injuries.
- Supporting staff training and encouraging good health and safety practices.
- Maintaining accurate moving and handling records and documentation.
- Working alongside management, nurses and care staff to ensure residents receive safe, person-centred care.
