This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join a supportive Further Education environment and make a positive impact on learners pursuing careers within the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be flexible in their delivery, supporting courses ranging from Level 1 full-time programmes through to Level 3 Apprenticeships. The RoleAs an Motor Vehicle Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons, supporting learners to develop the technical skills, knowledge, and industry standards required for successful careers within the motor vehicle sector.Key responsibilities include:
Delivering Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair lessons across Level 1 and Level 2 programmes, as well as Level 2 and Level 3 ApprenticeshipsTeaching both practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theoryDemonstrating industry-standard diagnostic, maintenance, and repair techniquesPreparing learners for assessments, practical observations, and courseworkMonitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedbackMaintaining a safe and compliant workshop environment, promoting health and safety best practiceCreating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that enables learners to succeed

Relevant Motor Vehicle qualification at Level 3 or aboveFully qualified in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and RepairRecognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET, or equivalent)Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, D32/D33, or equivalent)Strong classroom management and communication skillsAbility to engage, motivate, and support post-16 learnersEnhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable:
Internal Verifier qualification (V1 or D34)Experience delivering automotive apprenticeship standardsRecent teaching experience within Further Education or a training environmentKnowledge of current automotive industry standards and emerging vehicle technologies
