Full Job Description
Worcestershire Libraries are recruiting for an exciting new opportunity. The role of the Outreach and Mobile Driver & Library Customer Advisor is diverse, exciting and no two days are the same. You will drive around the county in our new Electric Mobile & Outreach Library Hub vehicle, providing outreach to a wide range of events and locations, including community events and schools, as well as supporting driving of our regular Mobile Library Service. You will bring our services out into the community and help residents access a wide range of resources and services. A typical day could see you visit a community event, raising awareness of services, joining new members or visiting a school and leading events and activities such as a song or storytelling session for children. You will need to be enthusiastic and energetic, with excellent customer service skills. You may have a background in retail, community, education, early years or library work - but whatever your experience, your understanding of the customer will be crucial. If you enjoy working with people, thrive on providing excellent customer service and you would like to be part of an innovative and enthusiastic team, then we would like to hear from you. Working hours are 18.5 hours a week, based on 2.5 days a week. There may also be a requirement to work occasional Saturday's for specific events. Whilst the role is mobile and drives around the county delivering services, the vehicle is based at Malvern Library and this will be the usual start/finish location. Full training for the role and vehicle will be available. Please provide detailed examples of your experience relating directly to the person specification in your supporting statement.
