Mobile Maintenance Engineer

As a Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring critical plant, equipment, and building services operate safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role that combines electrical and mechanical expertise with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. No two days are the same-you'll travel between client locations, carrying out maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and supporting site operations to minimise downtime and maintain compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a variety of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults on plant, machinery, and building services equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot three-phase electrical systems, motors, drives, inverters, and associated controls.
• Work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems including gearboxes, valves, and rotating equipment.
• Complete maintenance records and reports using CAFM systems and mobile technology.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Prepare and follow risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work documentation.
• Liaise with clients and site teams to provide first-class service and technical support.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to increase equipment reliability and performance.
• Participate in an on-call rota and work occasional overtime when required.
  
  Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Strong experience in a maintenance engineering environment.
• Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent.
• Proven multi-skilled engineering experience with both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience working with:
+ Three-phase electrical systems + Motors, drives, and inverters + Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment + Fault finding and diagnostics + PLC fault-finding and basic diagnostics
• Ability to produce and work from risk assessments, method statements, and permit systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
• Working at Height certification.
• IPAF qualification.
• Authorised Person (AP) qualifications.
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or heavy engineering environments.
