Full Job Description
This role encompasses the management of both community and our midwifery led unit.
The midwifery practice lead is responsible for the effective management of the ward over the 24-hour period. They will monitor and maintain standards of professional practice, and will supervise, lead, direct and deploy the team to ensure that standards of care are met. Acting as a role model and advocate for women, birthing partners and midwives, and working as part of the senior midwifery team, the post holder will contribute to the future development of the maternity service through participation in quality improvement and development initiatives.
The post holder will be expected to work three days managerial and two days clinically per week to provide both clinical and managerial support for their staff.
