Middleweight Photographer

This is a full-time role, requiring 37.5 hours per week, with a hybrid working arrangement of 4 days in the office and 1 day remote at our Gloucester location (non-negotiable). Requirements: Key areas of responsibility: Operational Aspects

• Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth and timely workflow.
• Prioritise workload according to importance and urgency. Making sure work is executed to deadlines.
• Supporting and coaching of Junior Photographer. Giving insight and training to aid their development.
• Keep on top of emails, Trello and Teams communications.
• Ensure all photos are named correctly and filed away in the right location within the photo library and SharePoint.
Planning Aspects
• Be involved in the logistics and shoot plan for campaign shoots. You will contribute to the creative process providing valuable input alongside the Senior Creative.
• Support the development and planning of seasonal campaigns, assisting with all tasks as directed by the Lead or Senior Photographer.
• Take ownership of the planning and preparation of smaller-scale campaigns focused on seasonal holidays or specific sub-categories, ensuring they support the overall seasonal creative direction.
Content Creation
• Photographing campaign and web imagery for print and online outputs including but not limited to; website, emails, packaging, retail and store graphics. Other tasks may be required from you to support and meet the business needs.
• Consistently reflect brand guidelines in your photography work. Familiar with producing photography to match a provided brief and able to create in style, high-level original content within deadlines.
• Keep abreast with new ideas, trends and technologies within the field of media. Be able to demonstrate an original and artistic creative flair.
• Ordering food props and cooking meals for recipes as required. Able to independently style shots that hero the product and recipe simultaneously.
• Provide hands-on assistance with all aspects of image creation and studio maintenance. Clean surfaces and products before shooting then pack down equipment and sets to keep space tidy.
Management & leadership skills
• Cover duties and responsibilities of the Senior Photographer, in their absence. Also, be prepared to undertake Junior Photographer workload when required by ProCook management.
• Supporting, training and coaching of Junior Photographers.
• Solving problems effectively. The process that precedes decision-making is problem solving, when information is gathered, analysed, and considered.
  
  We are looking for a Middleweight Photographer to join us on a permanent basis. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day photography for both online and print outputs. This includes working to an exceptional standard of creativity, accuracy and technical ability, whilst adhering to tight deadlines. In this role you will be responsible for creating outstanding photographic projects and a high level of retouching to aid the delivery of the brand's materials., Someone comfortable working in a fast-paced and high energy 4-person photography team, reporting into the Lead Photographer/Studio Manager. Be adaptable, taking critique constructively and use it as a method to improve creative solutions. Must possess a proactive approach to work with a strong use of initiative. Takes pride in their work and strives to create, to the best of their ability. Challenges the norm in the right way to drive positive change. You will have a large amount of autonomy with your work and have the confidence to self-manage, supported by the existing team in a collaborative setting., Aged 18+ (Handling of knives and cooking).
• Full driving licence.
• A commercial photographer with knowledge of product, lifestyle and editorial photography. Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of studio and location lighting whilst possessing a creative eye for fresh and innovative set ups.
• Must have a media qualification that includes 1 year of commercial studio experience. Or 3 years of commercial studio experience if you do not hold a media qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and Premiere) and ability to retouch imagery.
• Excellent IT Skills with strong knowledge of Excel.
• Strong organisation skills, logical approach, and attention to detail.
• Experience of working accurately and to a high standard whilst adhering to tight deadlines.
• Working collaboratively with other in-house departments and, when requested by management, external suppliers/agencies.
• Highly organised with exceptional time management and project management skills.
• Proactive and can work well independently as well as in a team.
• Keen interest in cooking would be beneficial.
