What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We are seeking to appoint one caring, reliable and enthusiastic person who enjoys working with children. Previous experience working with children will be an advantage.

Candidates will need to demonstrate:

  • Reliability and efficiency.
  • Experience supervising children, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Confidence in serving food and supporting children during mealtimes in a respectful and caring manner.
  • Basic food safety knowledge, including the ability to check and record food temperatures accurately.
  • High standards of cleanliness and hygiene, especially in food service and communal areas.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a calm and positive atmosphere and encourage good behaviour.
  • Teamwork and collaboration, working effectively with colleagues to support the smooth running of lunchtime routines.
