As a Midday Assisant in St George's Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of St George's Primary School mission statement of "Nurturing our community through opportunities, innovation and love". We are seeking a dedicated professional who is passionate about our values and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our pupils. Your Role in St George's Primary School We are looking to appoint a reliable, committed member of the Midday Assistant team to provide care, guidance and support for our children during lunch time. The role involves supervising the welfare of children aged 3-11 in the dining hall, playground and classroom. The successful candidate will work collaboratively and respond sensitively and confidently to the needs of the children. The post holder must be self-motivated, flexible and a good team player, who is dedicated to ensuring that lunch time at St George's Primary School is a pleasurable and safe experience for our children As a Midday Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and escorting children to dining and play areas
  • Maintaining and demonstrating good standards of table manners and eating habits
  • Helping prepare and serve refreshments, following health and safety guidelines
  • Promoting good behaviour and handling conflicts or incidents in line with school behaviour policies
  • Administering first aid, as appropriate
  • Reporting & recording incidents, accidents, and any issues concerning discipline or safety on our School MIS and to the Senior Midday Supervisor, as appropriate.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff to support children's welfare and safety., Wellbeing Support: Initiatives like 'Employee of the Month' rewards, and access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for mental health support, Schools Advisory Service with extensive Wellbeing services including GP consultations, Nurse Support, Weight Management, Physiotherapy etc & My Happy Mind

    We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Midday Assistant with:
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Experience working with children in a school or related environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Good communication, administration, and organisational skills
  • Empathetic, approachable, and positive attitude towards children
  • Understanding of children's welfare needs.
