Full Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a reliable, caring and enthusiastic Midday Assistant to become part of the friendly and supportive team at Rettendon Primary School. The successful candidate will be adaptable, motivated and committed to supporting our pupils during lunchtime. The role is for 6.25 hours per week.
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and proactive Midday Assistant to join our friendly school team and help create a positive lunchtime experience for all pupils. As a small school, we pride ourselves on knowing every child as an individual and building strong, supportive relationships across our school community. The successful candidate will work as part of a close-knit team of adults to support the smooth running of the dining hall and playground, encouraging calm, safe and enjoyable lunchtimes through positive engagement and effective supervision. They will follow safeguarding, behaviour and first aid procedures consistently, ensuring accurate record keeping where required. Strong communication skills, the ability to use initiative and work collaboratively, and a willingness to organise creative and stimulating playground activities are essential. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to promoting their wellbeing, safety and happiness
throughout the school day.
