Full Job Description

  • Provide practical and emotional support to people experiencing mental health difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with service users to support recovery, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Deliver recovery-focused interventions under the supervision of qualified practitioners.
  • Assist with assessment, care planning, implementation, and review of support plans.
  • Support service users to access community resources, education, employment, training, and meaningful activities.
  • Promote self-care, healthy lifestyles, social inclusion, and positive mental wellbeing.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate, motivated, and recovery-focused individual to join our Recovery Discharge Enablement Team as a Temporary Support, Time and Recovery (STR) Worker.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will support individuals with mental health needs on their recovery journey, helping them to achieve greater independence, improve wellbeing, and reconnect with their communities. You will provide practical and emotional support to service users, promote recovery and social inclusion, and work collaboratively with professionals, carers, and partner agencies to deliver person-centred care. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in mental health, social care, or related services who are passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives. As the role will require you to travel to service users homes for appointments, you will need access to suitable transport to travel across a large geographical area.

Come and work with us at our award-winning NHS Trust, leading the way for trying new and better ways of working to help improve life for our local communities. We have around 9,000 staff who provide physical and mental healthcare, support for people with learning disabilities, and adult social care across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Shropshire, and Telford & Wrekin. We also run regional and national services, including help for new parents (perinatal care), eating disorders, forensic services, sexual health, and support for people in prison with mental health, drug, or alcohol problems. We offer great career development for both clinical and non-clinical roles, with ongoing training and support to help you learn and grow. We are 'United in our Uniqueness' and committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome and can be themselves, no matter their background or identity. We want our staff to feel supported and valued, and we aim to build a team that reflects the communities we serve. Together, we can make sure every voice is heard, and every difference is respected.
