Full Job Description

A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. The role requires strong team and multi-agency working. The post holder will be required to work in close communication with appropriate colleagues in health, education, social services, and voluntary agencies in the delivery of assessment and intervention to children and their families, and carers. You will be required to work under the supervision of the PBS Team Lead and alongside other colleagues to provide and co-ordinate care of CYP admitted to the paediatric wards whose behaviours pose additional challenges.

  • Offer individualised evidence-based assessment and intervention to CYP and families and contribute to multi-agency working to ensure safe and effective care in relation to their complex needs and presenting risks.
  • Make clear plans of care and contribute to wider decisions on how best to support CYP during their acute hospital admission.
  • Advise staff, contribute to staff training programmes and support quality improvement projects and service developments within the Trust.
