You will need to demonstrate your continuing professional development since the point of qualification andhow this can transfer to the role. You need to be open to enhancing your current skills through in house training and the shadowing of team members. You must be willing to attend external training as required for the post.

You need to be an individual who is self motivated, enthusiastic, and who has a desire to work to improve life chances of people who may be experiencing their first episode in psychosis. This can take a lot of patience, requiring keen skills in creative engagement. Part of the role will involve health promotion; improving the physical heath of this group of service users as well as promoting the role of the insight team to capture appropriate referrals

The right value base and attitude is just as important to us as experience. Working within an Early Intervention Team demands the ability to challenge traditional medical models and embrace a psychosocial approach to delivering care.
