Join us at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit, part of Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, where your skills, compassion and dedication will directly impact the lives of people experiencing acute mental health challenges. About the Role and Bradgate Mental Health Unit The Bradgate Mental Health Unit is a contemporary acute inpatient facility designed to deliver high-quality care in a safe and therapeutic environment. Based in Leicester, the unit comprises seven wards and supports individuals experiencing acute and complex mental health conditions. The service operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where no two days are the same. Patients admitted to Bradgate may also present with co-existing physical health conditions, requiring a holistic, integrated approach to care delivery. We currently have vacancies across a number of our wards, offering a
variety of clinical experiences and opportunities to specialise in different areas of acute mental health care. Our Wards Adult Acute Wards These wards provide short-term inpatient care, assessment, and treatment for individuals experiencing acute episodes of mental illness. Beaumont Ward 22 beds, mixed gender Watermead Ward 20 beds, mixed gender Heather Ward 18 beds, female only Ashby Ward 14 beds, female only Bosworth Ward 14 beds, male only, As a Mental Health Nurse at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit, you will: Deliver evidence-based, person-centred care to all service users on the ward. Take charge of shifts, including delegating responsibilities, coordinating tasks, and prioritising workloads. Maintain your professional registration and mandatory training, and engage in clinical supervision. Assess and review patient care, develop and implement care plans, and work collaboratively with families and carers. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, healthcare support workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and dieticians. Manage the administration of medications in line with policy and procedures. Maintain accurate and confidential care records, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements. Take a proactive approach to improving patient care, escalating incidents, and addressing concerns or complaints. Build strong therapeutic relationships with
