Staff Nurse - Low Secure Male Ward & Blended Secure Female Ward We're looking for compassionate, motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurses to join our supportive multidisciplinary teams across two specialist inpatient services: a 16-bedded Low Secure Male Ward and a 14-bedded Blended Secure Female Ward. In this role, you'll work alongside colleagues who genuinely care about making a difference. You'll provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care, helping service users on their recovery journey while maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and empowering environment. Every day brings opportunities to develop your clinical skills, build meaningful therapeutic relationships, and contribute to positive outcomes for the people we support. You'll be involved in:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care and care planning
- Supporting risk assessment and management within a secure setting
- Working collaboratively with the MDT
- Promoting recovery, wellbeing, and trauma-informed practice
- Leading shifts and supporting junior staff when needed
- Championing dignity, respect, and patient involvement at every step Whether you're newly qualified or an experienced nurse, you'll find a nurturing environment with opportunities for further training, professional development, and career progression. Candidates must be able to complete mandatory training for working in secure and forensic inpatient environments, this includes PMA and Immediate life support.Main duties of the job We are openly welcoming people from a diverse clinical background who poses a vast experience in different areas of mental health. Do you believe in co-production and embrace its principles? Within this role you will be involved in working alongside the MDT, working within the confines of a robust co-produced care plan that meets the individual service users' needs whilst managing any risk factors for the individual or others. The recovery focused approach allows an opportunity to work collaboratively with carers, relatives, and other third-party agencies. In addition, this role will focus on proactively supporting reintegration back into the community, linking with third party services such as housing, drug and alcohol, attending all the necessary reviews and professional meetings as scheduled. Please note this role requires Shift work of day and night shifts covering a 24/7 working week.
Blakeney Ward Low Secure and Whitlingham ward blended secure provides a recovery-focused service for men and women respectively, who are experiencing severe and enduring mental health problems alongside posing a significant risk of harm to others. They typically require time and intensive support to aid their recovery within a provision of low security. By joining our team, you will be well supported to develop further your knowledge and skills to deliver evidence-based interventions for the group of service users. Personal development will be supported through meaningful Appraisal and via a bespoke training package (a comprehensive in house & external training programmes). On a monthly basis you will be offered reflective practice sessions, mandatory clinical supervision, and Line management supervision. You will also have an opportunity to actively take part in Quality improvement projects within the service. Norfolk is a great all-year holiday, weekend, or short break destination. On the mid-east coast of England, we enjoy over 90 miles of unspoilt coastline, beautiful countryside, the unique Broads National Park, forests and heathland, internationally important nature reserves, picturesque market towns, amazing birdwatching and the fabulous seaside resorts of Great Yarmouth, Cromer. Norwich Airport is 5 miles from the City and you will be an hour and half away by road to London Stanstead Airport.
