Full Job Description
- FREC3 Qualification - First Response Emergency Care - Level 3 What FREC 3 Covers:
- Patient assessment
- Basic life support & CPR
- Use of an AED (defibrillator)
- Airway management
- Managing trauma (bleeding, fractures, shock)
- Medical emergencies (heart attack, stroke, asthma, seizures, etc.)
- Catastrophic haemorrhage control (e.g., tourniquets, haemostatic dressings)
- Administering oxygen
- Safe manual handling
- PMVA course - Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression Course trains staff to:
- Understand the causes and triggers of challenging behaviours
- Use de-escalation and communication techniques
- Promote safe, compassionate, and person-centred care
- Recognise early warning signs of agitation or distress
- Apply safe, legally compliant physical interventions only when absolutely necessary
- Protect both patients and staff from harm PMVA training is widely used in mental health services, secure transport, hospitals, and specialist care environments to ensure safe and respectful management of violence and aggression. Most importantly, we are looking for individuals who are:
- Caring, compassionate, and patient-focused
About You: Whilst previous experience in patient care or secure mental health transport is desirable, it is not essential., Able to treat all service users with dignity, respect, and empathy - Calm under pressure and able to communicate effectively
- A team player, working as part of a double or triple crew Requirements:
- Full UK manual driving licence (minimum 1 year's driving experience; no more than 6 points)
- Good physical fitness to support safe manual handling and patient movement
