Menswear Junior Shirts Designer

We are a leading fashion supplier delivering the latest trends across jersey and woven shirts. We have several factories, mainly working in Turkey and work with a large variety of customers.We are a short lead supplier working in real time with both factories and customers so it's a fast-paced environment.We are looking for an enthusiastic boyswear/ menswear designer to work across jersey and shirt product. We are looking for someone with a strong eye for interpreting fashion trends and designing to suit our customer base. You will design and contribute to the constant development and co-ordination of new product ranges, to satisfy market key trends and customer needs, offering innovation and fresh approaches to design.
Main ResponsibilitiesDesign of current Boys and Men's fashion ranges to present to clients.Identify and understand clients brand identity and handwriting when designing and range building.Sourcing of fabric and trimsTo produce detailed technical packs for accurate first-time samplesCarry out trend research and analysis alongside colour trends Person Requirements:Liaising with factories and millsBuilding strong relationships with buyersSupporting team members with day-to-day administrative needs

Experience/AdvantagesPrevious experience designing menswear jersey/ shirts- minimum 2 years.Additional experience on other product areas would be advantageous.Some experience working on graphics is desired.Put together Design, Mood, Colour and Trend Boards Good understanding of fabrics, fabric manipulation, and fabric techniquesGood understanding of commercial fashionGood time management skills to meet deadlines.Good understanding of garment constructionexperience working in a fast-paced environmentPossess excellent communication skills at all levels.Ability to work on own initiative.Self-motivatedStrong CAD skills
