This is an exciting time to join our expanding pharmacy technician team based on the day treatment unit in North Devon! Key responsibilities include: To review SACT treatment plans on the electronic prescribing system to ensure availability, visibility to the cancer services pharmacy team, and accurate scheduling of treatment Review treatment plans, clinic letters and critical tests with a view to complete the fit-to-treat process in advance of planned appointments Evaluate patient blood test results prior to marking any patient as fit-to-treat for any SACT treatment in line with appropriate protocols Ensure prescribing of SACT is accurate and escalate any queries/ambiguous prescribing to the relevant teams as appropriate Use a team-based approach to the provision of pharmacy services to the day

treatment unit and encourage strong working relationships between departments Deliver and lead daily handover on the day treatment unit, providing the team with relevant, up to date information Applicants will need to hold the relevant NVQ Level 3 and BTEC qualifications and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. It is desirable that you hold a medicines optimisation accreditation and technician checking accreditation or are willing to work towards these.
