Medicine Administrator

Main duties, but not excluding other tasks that may be asked from management for the department needs.

• Accurately input patient information, appointment details, and clinical data onto relevant hospital systems.
• Maintain and update electronic patient records ensuring data quality and confidentiality standards are met.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies where appropriate.
• Ensure all administrative records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Backfill appointment slots for clinic utilisation.
• Monitor clinic schedules and respond promptly to changes in appointment availability.
• Contact patients prior to their appointments to complete pre-registration requirements.
• Verify and update patient demographic information.
• Ensure all necessary patient details are recorded before attendance to support a smooth patient experience.
• Escalate any issues or concerns identified during the pre-registration process.
• Provide cover for ECG reception during periods of increased workload, annual leave, or sickness absence.
• Manage telephone enquiries and direct calls appropriately.
• Support patient check-in processes and provide information regarding appointments and departmental procedures.
• Assist with filing, scanning, photocopying, and document management.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental objectives and service delivery.
• Adhere to Trust policies, procedures, and information governance requirements.
