Full Job Description

The Community Paediatric Service are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Secretary to work as part of the team, to provide secretarial and administration support to the clinical team. You will play a key role in contributing to the efficient running of the administration tasks to support the delivery of the service. The admin team work closely with medical and clinical colleagues in the team and across the directorate. The Community Paediatric Service is part of the children's integrated health teams and works closely with colleagues from therapies and nursing to support children with SEND. The team continually work towards improvements to provide the best possible outcomes for children and families in Oldham. This provides the post holder with great opportunities to provide a quality service for children and families.,

  • To provide a comprehensive, professional audio / digital transcription and clinic administration service to support the clinical team.
  • The Medical Secretary is expected to be aware of speciality typing requirements using their own initiative with guidance from the Medical Personal Assistants and / or Clinical Administration Supervisor where applicable.
  • Will be required to work as part of a team with other Medical Secretaries and provide cross cover during periods of staff absences to include the Medical Personal Assistant.
