Full Job Description

The Cardiothoracic Directorate is a busy and growing service based at University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital Cardiff.

We are looking for a capable and enthusiastic individual to join our secretarial team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Consultants and their team., The role will include a range of duties including typing, word processing, waiting list mangement and booking, arranging outpatient appointments and being first point of contact for patient queries amongst other general administrative duties.

You will need to have experience in audio typing and possess excellent administration skills to undertake this demanding and fulfilling role as part of a hardworking and friendly multi-disciplinary team. Excellent IT skills are required for this post., You must have the ability to work in a busy environment and possess excellent organisational skills, have the ability to use your own initiative and communicate well at all levels.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
