We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with relevant experience to join our high performing and successful team providing Neurology services to Greater Manchester patients.

The post will provide you with an exciting challenge and give you the opportunity to play a key-supporting role in a rapidly growing service which currently serves a population of 3.2 million.

MCCN is committed to supporting and developing its team during this exciting time of service transformation, and has a track record of developing medical secretaries into more senior operational roles.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, RSA II or equivalent typing, excellent audio typing skills, waiting list management, medical terminology, proven organisational skills, 18 week (RTT) standards, and a strong commitment to personal and professional development is desired.

Please enquire if you would like to discuss working hours options further.

  • You must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • You will be able to organise and prioritise your own workload and balance this with the demands of a busy, diverse, and varied role.

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, and Salford, to save and improve lives.

As a large NHS trust, we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners. We believe in our power and potential to make a difference, and we're always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values - care, appreciate, and inspire - to join our team.

In return, we can offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA means we can provide more challenge and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction. By joining us, you can also access a competitive benefits package, including a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities, and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work-life balance.
