Audio and Copy Typing: transcribing clinical correspondence, discharge summaries and complex medical reports
Diary and Schedule Management: Managing and prepping outpatient and theatre lists for both NHS and private patients
Patient Pathway Management: Tracking NHS patient referrals and waiting lists to ensure they meet national NHS Referral to Treatment (RTT) standards
Communication: Acting as the first point of contact for patients and external agencies, providing sensitive and empathetic responses to queries regarding appointments and admissions
System Management: Navigating IT systems (eg. Electronic Referral Service/e-RS, Patient Administration systems) and updating patient electronic records.
General Administration: Processing post, ordering stationery and managing e-mails

The successful candidate will be an experienced medical secretary with excellent administrative and organisational skills, with knowledge of medical terminology and experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will have excellent IT skills and well-developed communication skills, plus a working knowledge of a busy office environment.
