Join our dedicated and friendly team, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of AMU, the DVT service and our Same Day Emergency Care Clinic. This is a key administrative role at the heart of a busy clinical environment, helping us deliver an efficient and welcoming service for patients and their families. As an essential member of our multidisciplinary team, you will act as a first point of contact for patients, relatives and external professionals visiting the ward. Your responsibilities will include answering telephone enquiries, liaising with patients and families, managing diaries, maintaining accurate information on Trust systems and assisting with general problem-solving to support the wider team. You will greet patients and visitors on arrival, offering clear and sensitive communication, answering questions where appropriate and directing more complex queries to clinical colleagues. This role involves a wide range of clerical and administrative duties that contribute to the effective running of the ward. We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable and confident working in a fast-paced environment., Liaisewithindividualteammembersandotherdepartmentsasrequired,inamanner that will contributetotheeffectiveandefficientrunningoftheward. Work within our extremely busy SDEC Clinic and DVT clinic to ensure that notes are created and ready for same day patients and ensure that the diary is up to date. You maybe required to call and liaise with patients about attending certain tests or appointments.

If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not bereimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute.
