Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the award-winning research unit within Ophthalmology at Central Middlesex Hospital. The research unit was inaugurated in April 2017 and has delivered multiple phase 1-4 research trials and investigator-led research studies within retina. We are seeking a Clinical Research Fellow to work within an established research team on 2 dedicated investigator-led research projects. There will also be a requirement to support recruiting participants into multi-centre clinical trials in geographic atrophy, diabetic retinal diseases and other retinovascular disorders.,

  • Conduct pre-specified observational retina research projects.
  • Supported and supervised to be involved in protocol development, ethics submission, participant recruitment, publication and dissemination of the results of the study.
  • Support recruitment into academic and industry NIHR portfolio studies in medical retina.
  • Attend retina (medical and surgical clinics), intravitreal clinics and have an alternate week laser session
  • Contribute creating presentations for medical students and allied health professionals.
