Full Job Description
A clinical role with real scope, impact and balance. As Medical Lead at Notting Hill & Ealing High School, you will be responsible for the health and wellbeing of over 900 students across the Junior and Senior schools. From responding calmly in moments that matter, to building trust with students over time, the role combines immediate clinical care with long-term pastoral impact. Your work will be visible, valued and felt across the whole school community. Alongside delivering first aid provision, you will lead on care plans for students with ongoing conditions, train staff, contribute to health policy and oversee key programmes such as immunisations. Working closely with the Deputy Head Pastoral and wider leadership team, you will play an integral role in shaping a safe, supportive environment where students can thrive. About you The school is keen to hear from individuals with strong clinical judgement, who are calm under pressure and confident working with young people. Experience may come from a range of backgrounds, including general practice, military medic, blue light first aid, nursing or other clinical settings, but a commitment to care, communication and professionalism is essential. You will be perceptive, organised and approachable, able to balance clinical responsibility with empathy and discretion. Above all, you will have a genuine interest in supporting young people and contributing to a community where wellbeing is taken seriously. About the School NHEHS is a leading academic day school. Our girls are ambitious, bright, enthusiastic and eager to learn and we offer a warm and supportive community. We occupy a site in suburban, leafy, West Ealing with excellent transport links. - 36-week school year (including INSET days) across 3 terms, with a 2-week half term in the Autumn
- Access to extensive professional development opportunities and training grants for qualifications
- Free life assurance benefit
- Employee Assistance Programme via Health Assured, offering free 24-hour counselling, wellbeing support and advice services
- A discount of up to 50% on fees for children at GDST schools
- Free lunches for all staff during term time (equivalent to at least £900 per year)
- Interest-free loans for training, computer purchase and travel season ticket loans
