Full Job Description
The successful candidates would be provided with support and training to ensure that allocated tasks are performed with confidence and competency with the understanding that guidance and reassurance is always at hand. The selected candidates will be expected to perform routine daily tasks, this will include the use and maintenance of digital scanning equipment as well as digital scanning integration within the main laboratory. In addition, the candidates will contribute to assisting pathologists with dissection, receipt of specimens alongside the use and maintenance equipment throughout the laboratory. There will also be an opportunity to assist with the filing of blocks and slides. The Department of Histopathology is ISO15189:2012 accredited and is also a recognised HCPC / IBMS training laboratory. The successful candidates may have the opportunity to rotate throughout the laboratory inclusive of both Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and participate in activities in each area in accordance to service needs.
