The Directorate of Biochemistry spans 4 sites and each has state of the art equipment incorporating Roche 8100 /p612 pre analytic systems, Roche 702, 801 and Roche Pro analysers, this includes the largest fully automated Roche tracking system in Europe. We have an exciting opportunity at our Trafford laboratory where we are seeking an enthusiastic, aspirational and highly motivated Medical Laboratory Assistant to join the Biochemistry team.

The post holder will act as a Medical Laboratory Assistant supporting HCPC registered staff and performing a range of automated, semi-automated and manual processes. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential to ensure the service complies with current health and safety, clinical governance and risk management standards.

Suitable candidates will require NHS laboratory experience (evidence of experience within Biochemistry is desirable) however full training will be provided. Candidates must be in possession of an appropriate science NVQ level 3, HCS Apprenticeship level 2, Certificate of Achievement level 1 or equivalent experience., Disability Confident
