Job Title: Medical Imaging Clerical Officer
Location: Barnsley
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00-16:00 or 9:00-17:00 whilst training and then rota hours from Monday to Saturday 08:00-16:00, 09:00-17:00 or 12:00-20:00
Trust Location: Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Gawber Road, Barnsley, S75 2EP
Contract Duration: Temporary for 2 months

Responsibilities
- Provide an effective and professional reception service to the Medical Imaging department.
- Undertake general clerical duties utilising the Radiology Information System (RIS), the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS), the Hospital Information System (HIS) and any other software required to deliver an effective Medical Imaging service.
- Organise the daily booking of appointments in accordance with agreed guidelines, procedures and protocols including follow-up appointments.
- Prepare and send out appropriate appointment letters in line with agreed guidelines, procedures and protocols.
- At the request of medical records, provide patient images in an appropriate format in accordance with guidelines, procedures and protocols.
