Full Job Description

The individual shall work as part of the Medical Technical Services (MTS) team in providing a cost efficient and effective engineering/technical support service and help the department and staff in delivering its services to the Clinical and Corporate Divisions. Ensure that medical staff and patients have at their disposal reliable electronic and medical equipment which is safe and effective., This post encompasses a wide range of activities that support the varied functions of the Medical Technical Services department. Core areas of activity are as follows:

Actively support the RE-TURN initiative for the re-use of trust assets.

To undertake 'first-line' inspection of all medical equipment managed by the Medical Equipment Library (MEL).

To undertake 'first-line' repairs within their training remit of medical equipment managed by the Medical Equipment Library (MEL).

Support collection, change and replacement medical gases including responding to the manifold alarms, where applicable.

Deliver and move equipment/products around and between sites

Act as front-of-house contact for the MEL and MTS.
