Full Job Description

The post holder will work as part of a diverse and multidisciplinary Medical Equipment Management Service team to ensure the safe use of medical devices across the Trust.

The post holder will carry out acceptance testing, servicing and repair of complex medical equipment and devices. They will take part in workshop rotas and timetables, and maintain records of all completed work timely and accurately on the comprehensive equipment management information technology system. Where necessary the post holder will undertake training in order to develop, upskill and fulfill the evolving needs of the role. Training of clinical staff in the use of medical equipment will be required occasionally., Maintain, test, repair, calibrate, and dispose of medical equipment, including fault diagnosis and safety checks. Provide technical advice and support to clinical staff, including training when required. Liaise with suppliers and contribute to equipment evaluation and incident investigations. Service and repair equipment in clinical areas and provide on-site support. Maintain accurate records using IT systems and ensure data quality. Follow and improve quality procedures and manage workload and maintenance schedules. Comply with health and safety requirements, identify risks, and support safe working practices. Assist with equipment movement and uphold confidentiality, Trust policies, and professional standards.
