Full Job Description

As Mechanical Technician you will execute planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on pumps, air handling units (AHUs), and associated plant systems as assigned whilst providing rapid response to site incidents, troubleshooting effectively to minimise operational disruption and system downtime.

You will support the successful delivery of mechanical projects and system upgrades in line with contract requirements. Ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard, supporting the long-term reliability of site infrastructure

Core Responsibilities:

Maintenance Excellence: Deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance on pumps, air handling plant, and associated systems.

Incident Response: Act fast to diagnose faults and minimize operational downtime during critical breakdowns.

Contractor Management: Oversee and escort third-party contractors, ensuring their work meets our strict safety and quality standards.

Digital Workflow: Manage your day through a mobile PDA device to track work orders and update statutory logbooks in real-time.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify ways to improve service delivery and site efficiency.

Qualifications: Mechanical NVQ/BTEC Level 2. You must also hold (or be ready to sign off on) MGPSCP & VCP.

Experience: At least 5 years in a facilities maintenance environment, preferably within a complex or high-stakes site.

Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of building engineering services and electrical isolation safety.

Participation: To be able to participate in a shift rota.
