Mechanical Team Leader (On-Call)

The Mechanical Team Leader will be part of a team ensuring that mechanical/electrical/building equipment and services are maintained to an appropriate standard and to support clinical service departments in their prime task of treating patients. The appointed individual will support the site operational management staff with the day to day operational engineering maintenance of boilers, steam systems, medical gases, heating, hot water, buildings, etc. The position requires participation in an on-call rota.Main duties of the job To provide a safe, comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors. Ensuring all essential services are maintained to support clinical departments in their task of treating patients, whilst ensuring all statutory legislation is complied with.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties. We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services. • 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 99 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
• Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services
