Lead mechanical activity supporting critical aviation operations At Babcock, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. If you join us, you can play your part as a Mechanical Supervisor at RAF Shawbury, providing technical leadership and supervision within our Aircraft Maintenance, Storage and Unit (AMSU) team. The role As a Mechanical Supervisor, you'll be responsible for supervising mechanical activity and providing technical support across aircraft storage, maintenance and preparation tasks. You'll play a key role in ensuring work is carried out safely, compliantly and to the highest standards, while supporting quality assurance and health and safety programmes. Day-to-day, you will be:
- Supervising mechanical activity within the AMSU team to ensure safe and effective task delivery.
- Preparing a range of aircraft types for storage, sale or disposal.
- Carrying out and overseeing in-storage maintenance across multiple aircraft platforms.
- Controlling and supporting the AMSU Quality Assurance and Safety programmes.
- Conducting internal audits and supporting Health and Safety compliance activities.
Considerable aviation experience. - Experience working on fast jet aircraft.
- Experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience working on multiple aircraft types.
- Proven background in Quality Assurance and Health and Safety. Qualifications for the Mechanical Supervisor: Formal aircraft engineering trade training with recognised certification. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
