This position offers the opportunity to lead a mechanical team responsible for the performance, reliability, and maintenance of critical assets within our supply chain operation. We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused engineer who is passionate about driving continuous improvement, developing people, and delivering engineering excellence. What you will be doing As Mechanical Operations Engineer, you will:

  • Lead and manage a mechanical team, providing coaching, guidance, and technical support.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure engineering and safety standards are maintained.
  • Drive asset reliability and performance through effective maintenance strategies.
  • Set high standards of professional and technical excellence within the team.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies and engineering best practices where appropriate.
  • Lead projects focused on improving operations and reducing mechanical risks.

  • ICL is looking for an experienced Mechanical Operations Engineer to take responsibility for the mechanical performance and reliability of our Tees Dock operation. You will lead a mechanical team supporting a key part of our supply chain while contributing to the success of a global business.   • Lead and manage one of our mechanical teams, providing coaching, guidance, and technical support.

  • Lead projects aimed at improving operations and reducing risks associated with mechanical equipment.
  • Prepare and support capital project applications, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time, and within budget.

    Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience within a mechanical engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of material handling and conveyor systems.
  • Experience of maintenance and reliability engineering techniques.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Desirable
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration., A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in a mechanical engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of material transport and conveyor systems.
  • Extensive experience of maintenance and reliability engineering techniques.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Desirable: Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration
