Mechanical Operations Engineer

• Lead and manage a mechanical team, providing coaching, guidance, and technical support.

• Drive asset reliability and performance through effective maintenance strategies.
• Set high standards of professional and technical excellence within the team.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies and engineering best practices where appropriate.
• Lead projects focused on improving operations and reducing mechanical risks.

ICL is looking for an experienced Mechanical Operations Engineer to take responsibility for the mechanical performance and reliability of our Tees Dock operation. • Prepare and support capital project applications, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time, and within budget.
  
  Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience within a mechanical engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of material handling and conveyor systems.
• Experience of maintenance and reliability engineering techniques.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop teams.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Desirable
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration., A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in a mechanical engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of material transport and conveyor systems.
• Extensive experience of maintenance and reliability engineering techniques.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Desirable: Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration
